Recapping the 2025 Spring NJ Gem Show

Recap of the 2025 Spring NJ Gem Show

From May 14–18, 2025, the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center in Edison, New Jersey transformed into a sparkling playground of natural wonders as the Spring NJ Gem Show welcomed  visitors. This five-day event was more than a showcase, it was a celebration of the Earth’s natural beauty, offering a mix of shopping, discovery, and family-friendly adventure through gemstones.

Browsing Collection of Natural Wonders

With a variety of vendors, visitors had the opportunity to see and learn about crystals, gemstones, minerals, and hand-carved treasures from around the globe. The exhibit hall was lined with booths featuring everything from rare collector pieces to affordable, everyday gems. Attendees could browse and admiring these breathtaking creations, with many adding special finds to their personal gemstone collections.

Exploring Through Fossils

One of the highlights of the 2025 Spring NJ Gem Show was the fossil displays, where visitors could view authentic specimens from the time of dinosaurs and beyond. From ancient plant life to fossilized marine creatures, the exhibits captured the imagination of visitors young and old. It was an awe-inspiring reminder of the planet’s incredible history.

A Global Marketplace of Gemstone Wonders

The vendor lineup at the Spring NJ Gem Show was as diverse as the mineral kingdom itself. Dealers from across the United States and around the world brought a curated selection of jewelry, beads, decor, and tools, offering something for everyone. Attendees could use the interactive vendor map on the event’s website to navigate the space and find their favorite booths with ease.

The Ultimate Family-Friendly Event

While the show had something for everyone, families with children found a true highlight in the Kid Zone. Located near the café at Booth 1251, this interactive area was open daily and packed with engaging, educational activities for curious young minds.

Children could dig for treasures in the Dino Dig site, where 4×4 sandboxes were filled with mini fossils, gems, and plastic dinosaurs. Armed with brushes and digging tools, kids played junior paleontologist and kept up to five treasures they discovered.

Other stations offered arts & crafts, treasure chest decorating, and themed activity kits to engage every kind of creative kid. It was a space for fun, learning, and hands-on exploration.

On Saturday, May 17, the Kid Zone hosted face painting and hair tinsel styling, giving kids the chance to become butterflies, unicorns, or anything they could imagine. These memory-making experiences added an extra layer of magic to the weekend.

The family fun didn’t stop at the Kid Zone. The Rubber Duck Treasure Hunt had both kids and adults scouring the venue to find hidden ducks—some of them gold or silver, redeemable for special mystery prizes at the Showcase Office. With simple rules and big rewards, it was an instant hit and encouraged everyone to explore the entire show space.

Whether you’re five or fifty, the Spring NJ Gem Show had something to offer. With free parking, affordable admission, and an event layout that welcomed school groups, hobbyists, and families, it’s no surprise this show continues to grow in popularity each year.
